All of the recordings from our "Remembering in Dane County" project are now available to listen to on the web.

On May 18th, some of the writers were professionally recorded reading their stories:
Eileen Kalscheur Aeschbach read Christmas Eve and A Day in the Life of a Six Year Old
Shirley Behm read Psalm 77, Verses 17-18 and Big Bertha
Molly McDermott read A Belated Tribute to Arnie, A Biting Experience, The Robe, and Tale of a Lamb
Not pictured is Joan VandenHeuvel, who read The Face of the Enemy, High School Nightmare, and Sole Music.
Two stories written by Penny Vodak, The Day the Seniors Came and Passing It On, were read by Mary Clark (also not pictured).
A large crowd of Oakwood residents and other interested people gathered in the auditorium to hear the fabulous writers on the program.
The writers presented from an impressive stage. Unfortunately, all of our "action" photos were taken from too far away, but here is one picture of the presenters for the evening, with their mentor, Ann Short:

The 2nd program took place at the Waunakee Public Library on March 29th, 2008. Unfortunately, our photographer wasn't there, so we don't have any pictures to share from this program!
The "Remembering in Dane County" series kicked off on March 11th with a program at the Crossroads Coffeehouse in Cross Plains.

Debbie Kmetz moderated this program, which included the writings of 3 Dane County reminiscence writers.
