Sonia Andrusier: Memories

• Mr. Brown, our very soft-spoken principal;
  
  
• Orchestra practice with Mr. Fandrick;
  
  
• Working backstage on our production of "The Mousetrap";
  
  
• Doing the Charleston (in front of all those people!) during the school talent show -- with a young man named Joe (who was a class behind us);
  
  
• Oddly enough, I remember my prom dresses (and my dates!) for both the junior & senior dances (ah, just like a woman);
  
  
• Lunchtime dances in the gymnasium;
  
  
• Climbing the stairs to our graduation ceremony;
  
  
• Typing class (on those old manual typewriters; thank goodness I learned to do that -- got me a good job in Chicago right after graduating UW).
